Who is responsible

Fabio Gadient, Switzerland. anywatch is a private, non-commercial project. Questions and requests: privacy@anywatch.app.

What is kept

Your email address and password (stored as a hash), and what you put into your collection: watches, their details, pictures, notes, what you paid and when. Only you can see your collection — the database itself enforces that, for every row.

When you import a watch from a link, the app reads that public page. What it reads there about the watch itself — its published specifications — is kept in a catalogue shared by all users, so the next import of the same reference is quicker. Nothing you type, change, note, pay or photograph ever enters that catalogue.

To see how well imports work, each import is also noted without your account: the address of the page, what was read from it, and — when you save the watch — for each of those values only whether you kept it, changed it, added it or emptied it. Never the value you entered, and nothing that says the import was yours.

No advertising, no tracking, no analytics of what you do. The only cookie keeps you signed in.

Who else is involved

These companies process data in Switzerland, the European Union and the United States. Nothing is sold or passed on for anyone else’s purposes.

How long

Until you delete it. Deleting a watch deletes its pictures with it; pictures an import offered and you did not choose are removed within a day; working copies shared between users expire after 30 days.

Your rights

You can export your collection in Settings at any time, and you can ask what is stored about you, have it corrected, or have your account and everything in it deleted — write to the address above.
